Shoreham By Sea

I am totally obsessed with old photos of towns I have lived in. There is something about them that fascinates me, seeing the old shops, people and buildings that don't exist anymore (it always feels very eerie when I find a photo of a building which has now been knocked down and nothing has replaced it...but that's just me!) I have spent hours of my time going through The James Gray Collection (http://www.regencysociety-jamesgray.com/) and comparing photos from around brighton to present down photos. I then decided to take my own photos so that one day I could compare my own images. I chose Shoreham-By-Sea to start my project as it already has many archived images to compare to. My aim was to only concentrate on the town and surrounding streets as these would be the most widely known areas for people like myself who don't live in shoreham but often visits.
I have taken all my photos in black and white to create a timeless effect
